This book covers overall syllabus of grade 7 except the mathematics. It is very low level considering world standard but I guess that is what you learn in canada. I found that my students end up laughing at this maths. So apart from thw maths. This is a pretty good book.

Some of it was a bit confusing. Not a lot of detail with what needs to be done. For math and English it was good
D Rob –
Somtimes a bit vague in instructions.. but a decent book non the less

We bought this book to supplement our child’s regular Grade 7 school education. I liked how it taught the subjects in a way that were both informative and key to learning such as the history of our country, the war of 1812 (a subject I learned in school) and proper English sentence structure – subjects often missed or ignored in our current education system. Our child found this book easy and interesting to work through (and the answers were at the back if needed). 🙂

We aren’t big fans of workbooks,
We don’t normally use workbooks (our kids are unschooled) but we keep this series around for when they do want to study something in a more school-like way. Although the pages aren’t as inspired as the Smart series, the books do give a good overview of what school-going children attend, and help give my kids some idea what some of their friends are up to, and also of potential avenues for their own academic exploration.
